MAN OF STEEL Sequel Coming As Early As 2014?

Warner Bros. must be having a collecting sigh of relief as Man of Steel is looking to become one of the biggest Summer blockbusters of the year. Zack Snyder's reboot was pegged as testing-waters for the studio moving forward with Justice League. If successful WB would move forward with Justice League otherwise it would have been scrapped. Man of Steel is likely to be a giant success when the final box office numbers roll in. That being said, there have been hints that a Man of Steel sequel could come before Justice League which may or may not already have a script in place.

Zack Snyder said during interviews he'd like to see a second Man of Steel before Justice League rolls out. Snyder has been linked as a strong candidate to direct Justice League. TheWallStreetJournal is fuelling the fire by stating that the studio is planning on fast tracking the sequel for a possible 2014 release date. No word on a villain but hints to both Brainiac and Lex are sprinkled in Man of Steel. The only problem with this news is that Henry Cavill is attached for the lead role in Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

"Warners is already in development on a sequel to "Man of Steel" and is expected to fast track that for release as soon as 2014, said knowledgeable people close to the studio. In addition, it has long been developing a "Justice League" team-up movie featuring characters such as the Flash and Wonder Woman that could come out as soon as 2015."
