Vulture reports that Oscar winning Pixar director Brad Bird is in final negotiations to direct Mission Impossible 4. Previously there had been talk of Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim) and Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) also in talks. This would be Bird's first live-action film and the studio has set release date for May 27th 2011. It's interesting to see the Pixar group getting these massive live-action directing jobs. I'm still very curious to see what Andrew Stanton (Wall-E) is doing with John Carter of Mars.
