Guy Ritchie's Lobo (2010-2011)

Joel Silver and Warner Brothers have hired Guy Ritchie to direct the comic adaption. The surprising news is that the studio is aiming for a PG-13 rating, which is odd considering the character's comics are ultra-violent. The news sounds like Warner Brothers upping their comic book film catalog as they will a lot more competition with Marvel/Disney productions in the future. DC Comics/WB is already releasing The Losers in April and Jonah Hex in June during their 2010 releases. We could end up seeing Lobo released in Fall 2010 or Winter/Spring 2011, with Green Lantern out in June of that same year. I really hope the Disney deal gives Warner Brothers the reason to up production on their DC based films. Warner Brothers has Batman 3, Superman: Man of Steel, Wonder Woman and The Flash in development.

"Lobo is a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a pimped out motorcycle, and lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on wreaking havoc. Lobo teams with a small town teenaged girl to stop the creatures."

Casting Thoughts:

Gerard Butler as Lobo

Emma Stone (Zombieland) as Kayla.
